Babak Parviz

Babak is a Vice President at Amazon. Prior to joining Amazon in 2014, he was a distinguished engineer and a director at Google.
He received his B.A. in literature from the University of Washington; B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, M.S. in Physics, M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan; and completed his postdoctoral fellowship in Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University. His primary areas of focus are engineering at scale and engineering with social impact.
