Future Voices King County is a free 12-week program for young people who have a story to tell — and are ready to tell it.
Learn to own any room — job interviews, college applications, school leadership, performing, everyday life. Your voice is your most powerful tool. We’ll help you use it.
If you’re proud of where you come from and want to make your mark, this is for you.
Who Is This For?
You’re a fit if you:
Come from an immigrant, refugee, or multicultural family and want to share your culture
Have a story that deserves to be heard
Want to speak up — at school, in your community, on a stage
Are ready to grow into a leader
You don’t need experience. You just need the drive.
What You’ll Do
🌟 Explore & Understand
Sit down with your elders or community members, ask meaningful questions about identity, culture, family history, migration, and belonging, and record the stories they want to share. With permission, selected interviews may be featured in the Peyvand Future Voices Podcast Series.
🌟 Document & Interpret
Research, fact-check, and place what you hear in context. Reflect on what you learned, identify the key themes, and shape the interview into a thoughtful written, audio, or video piece.
🌟 Share & Lead
We will help you develop public-facing projects such as cultural clubs, workshops, podcast episodes, short films, exhibits, presentations, and community-learning activities.You become the one who says:
